The animals you see at LMC are part of a larger narrative
Behind each exhibit, a team of professionals are working to care for our resident animals. The daily care we offer at the Center helps us build insights into animal health, behavior, genetics, nutrition, pharmacology, and reproduction—information that may not be accessible with wild populations.
Tasks performed by the animal care team include; food preparation for animals, exhibit cleaning and maintenance, cleaning food prep areas and instruments, and special projects for the coastal habitats, exhibits, and quarantine tanks.
