ADMISSION NOTE:

Parkland is a juvenile green sea turtle that was hooked by a recreational fisherman at the Juno Beach Pier. Radiographs revealed a large J hook in the lower esophagus that will require surgery to be removed. The surgery is schedule to take place in the near future.

PROGRESS NOTES:

04/20/18 – Sea_turtle_icon(green) Parkland is now back in the water following surgery. The incision is healing well and the turtle has already begun to eat.

04/11/18 – Sea_turtle_icon(yellow) Parkland underwent surgery and a large J hook was removed from the lower esophagus. The turtle will be dry docked for 4-5 days following surgery to allow the incision site to heal.
