Education Internships and programs are available each semester and year round for college students.


Campus visits can be arranged seven days a week for college classes or extracurricular groups looking to take a closer look at our operation. During this one-hour program, students will gain an insight into the biology and current conservation efforts of marine turtles, take a behind-the-scenes tour into our sea turtle rehabilitation area and have an opportunity to speak with an LMC staff member about their experiences.

Cost: $5.00/student
Capacity: Max 15 students.
Campus visits may be available to multiple groups based on availability.

Virtual Campus Visits allow college and university students around the world to experience Loggerhead Marinelife Center. During this 45-minute program, students will gain an insight into the biology and current conservation efforts of marine turtles, take a behind-the-scenes virtual tour into our sea turtle rehabilitation area and have an opportunity to speak with an LMC staff member about their experiences.

Cost: $75.00
Capacity: Unlimited.

Guest Lectures from LMC staff are available for college and university classrooms, lecture halls and extracurricular meetings year-round. We are always happy to customize marine-science related topics and leave plenty of time at the end of the lecture for student questions.  Please note, we cannot bring any live turtles to any off-site programs.

Cost: Free. Dependent on LMC staff availability.
Capacity: Max 60 students.

The annual seasonal Seminar  Series invites guests to enjoy an after-hours lecture from a guest speaker on current and relevant marine science topics. Each seminar will highlight the knowledge and work of distinguished speakers from education, rehabilitation, research and conservation aspects of marine science. No pre-registration required. Light bites and refreshments included.

Cost: Free
Capacity: Unlimited.
