First-ever Student Art Contest!
This year, art at TurtleFest is being elevated to the next level! Loggerhead Marinelife Center is pleased to announce its first annual Student Art Contest, bringing together entries by young artists from across Palm Beach County to showcase their skills. Winners will be revealed and artwork will be showcased at our 9th Annual TurtleFest celebration. With its emphasis on culture and children, a juried Student Art Contest is the perfect addition to TurtleFest. Winners will receive recognition on the TurtleFest stage and on the center’s website. Select pieces will also be featured in the center’s Earth Day Art Contest Exhibit at LMC’s campus throughout the summer. Certain award categories will include additional benefits.

THEME:
All artwork should center on the theme of ocean conservation, how we can help the ocean, and/or the importance of the organisms in it. With this theme, we hope to integrate science, learning and exploration into the art contest.

AGE SUBMISSION CATEGORIES
•   Elementary (Grades 4- 5)
•   Middle (Grades 6-8)
•   High School (Grades 9-12)

ARTWORK CATEGORIES
•   First, Second, and Third-Place for each age submission category
•   Best In Show
•   Best Environmental Interpretation
