Our Exhibit Hall

Exhibit Hall

Aside from being a fully functioning marine turtle hospital and rehabilitation facility, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is proud to have a 1200 sq ft exhibit hall boasting over 40 engaging and hands-on exhibits, displays, and aquatic systems. Visitors can enjoy learning about the world’s sea turtles, those that call the waters off of our coast home, the roles they play in balancing our ocean ecosystems, and the threats that they face throughout their lives.

Guests will also be able to view our five saltwater aquariums, containing over 1500 gallons of water, and housing over 40 different species of marine life. Learn about fish and organisms native to our unique coastal environments, and those that are from distant waters.

Archelon

One of the highlights of the exhibit hall is our fully articulated replica of the prehistoric sea turtle Archelon. 75 - 65 Million Years ago, while dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops walked the land, Archelon swam the seas of the late-cretaceous period as the largest known sea turtle to have ever inhabited planet earth. So stop in and marvel at this giant reptile from the past and ask one of our exhibit interpreters to give you the full story of the Archelon!
