Loggerhead Marinelife Center's Unwrap the Wave Initiative allows for students and community members to get into the "spirit" of conservation by collecting their candy wrappers from Halloween and recycling them.

5 star rating LMC staff and volunteers are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming — they made the experience educational, engaging, and fun. Obviously, the mama loggerhead turtle was the star of the evening — it was heartwarming and wholesome to witness her return to the same beach where she was born to lay her eggs; lovingly and skillfully erase all evidence of her nest once she was done, covering it up with sand; and finally make her way back home to the sea. I’ll definitely be back — turtle two stepping (IYKYK) at another LMC Guided Turtle Walk — you can count on it!

5 star rating Great place if you love Sea Turtles like me. When you first walk in there’s the front desk and they an aquarium with fish. Then you go outside into the main courtyard and they have a bunch of tanks with Sea Turtles in them. They had some baby turtles too that were so incredibly cute. They also had a tank with sharks. I personally loved this courtyard because I liked seeing the turtles swim around. Then they had a small exhibit space before we exited through the gift shop where they had many awesome things. 100/100 level of enjoyment.

5 star rating I enjoyed my visit. Very nice facility. The turtles are very well taken care of. I loved seeing the baby turtles swimming around. I would visit again. If you are in the area, it is worth a stop. The facility is free to visit, which is a plus. Nice gift shop. The beach is just a short walk behind the facility. I highly recommend it.

Loggerhead Marinelife Center is so wonderful. What they do there rehabilitating the turtles is fantastic. Our friend actually ended up adopting Nora a beautiful turtle who lost one of her flippers. This place is a great place to bring family and friends.

There are no words to describe my experience at the hatchlings release. The staff is amazing. The staff is genuinely enthusiastic and devoted to sea turtles. Seeing baby sea turtles marching toward the ocean to me was a life changing experience. Alyssa is a gem and her smile is contagious. Thank you

5 star rating Highly recommended- very informative place to visit to learn about sea turtles and the incredible conservation work taking place. The public tour is worth the extra time and fee, the guides are excellent and happy to answer questions whilst explaining how the center functions and the individual turtles on site at the time. Top tip- leave plenty of time for getting through local traffic and to park on site.

It's free for entry although a donation of $10 per person is suggested and can be taken in credit in addition to cash. Plenty to see and the turtles are easily visible up close including babies along with information placards on each tank and area. Keep in mind they are outside which means visiting the rescued turtles is dependent upon the weather. You can choose to do guided tours as well. There is also an indoor area with children's activities, jellyfish, seahorses, and a few other things. The gift shop is one of the better ones out there providing a nice mix of products and price ranges. There is even an educational area and a cafe for food/drink. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful family experience! The center was donation entrance fee only, not the $6 advertised which might put people off with large families like ours. We all left a donation and bought a bunch of stuff from one of the best gift shops I've seen in a while. There are wonderful jellyfish aquariums and seahorse aquariums up the ramps, so don't miss them. The six kids with us had a blast doing the fish drawing activity on the digital screen on the wall. When we were there, they pulled the huge turtle out of his tank and transported him on a stretcher, to the small hospital at the center. The kids were so amazed to see the turtle's size. The staff walking around the place were educating the kids and a joy to talk to. Definitely bring the kids. Our family had a blast!

Love this place there so great. Plan to see a release one day! You can view the cam from home of a sea turtle! There's a cool eel along with other fish. 2 sharks! A drawing station. Jelly fish. Really cool place! Everyone should stop by for a visit. It's free with a great cool gift shop!

5 star rating Volunteers are knowledgeable and very social; all seem delighted to talk with guests. We supported the sanctuary through admission (which is by donation) and purchases in the lovely gift shop. Amazing work they are doing! Highly recommended to teach children and adults the harm that fishing line and boats can do to marine life.
